If today's plan has gone to plan, then by the time this post goes out, @authenticallyaniii, Canadian Connor and I will have just hiked 18km from Namobuddha via Bimire and @baserifarmstay to a village called Naryantar. From there, tomorrow morning we'll hike another few hours up to Thindare waterfall.

We did this hike for the first time a couple of years back with my wild Scottish sidekick, Sanu Paniwala, aka Euan Fae Sterling, and my favourite Basque beauty @taro.pistacchio

On the way there, we walked through many villages and asked when they had last seen foreigners passing through, They all but one gave us the same answer: never. One person did tell us they met a foreigner working at a nearby school a few years back.

So this video was going to be a collection of clips of that hike back in 2024, but then when I opened the folder I remembered our encounter with this guy, @thenameissijan - tapai lai tulo respect bhai!

Nowadays, when I tell people outside of Nepal that we are doing a collaboration with @nepalhiphopfoundation01 - they seem shocked that there is a Nepal Hiphop Foundation, or even a hip hop scene here. Hip hop is enormous in Nepal. They have a rapper as a prime minister and hip hop culture is everywhere you look in Kathmandu, but apparently, also in the most random tiny villages you can think of.
